With the success of last years ‘Stranger Things’ maze at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights, it has been announced to return this fall for a second installment of the popular attraction to both Hollywood’s and Orlando’s event. Last year, fans of the show were able to encounter the terrifying Demogorgon from the show as well as their favorite scenes from Season 1 of the series.
The maze was located at both park’s events and were both uniquely different from each other.
This year the maze will be mainly based of Season 2 of the series as well as a bonus scene from the highly anticipated Season 3 which will premier on July 4th, 2019 on Netflix. Creative Director John Murdy of HHN Hollywood took to Twitter to give fans a preview of what to expect in this years maze.
“It’s a much darker maze than last year’s maze with a crazy amount of special effects…so much so it’s making my head spin right now just thinking about producing it all”.
Fans can be expecting to live a lot of the scenes that stars such as Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard did in Season 2 and even encounter creatures such as the Demodogs and the Mind Flayer. The anticipated maze will be located in Soundstage 29 as it was last year in Hollywood. The location for Orlando has not been announced yet.
To entertain guests waiting in line for the maze there will be a new 80’s themed soundtrack that will stay playing throughout each night of the event. Halloween Horror Nights begins September 13th, 2019 in Hollywood and September 6th, 2019 in Orlando.
