Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas, and BD Wong the stars of the popular Jurassic World Films will be reprising their roles as Owen Grady, Claire Dearing, and Dr. Henry Wu for the brand new mega attraction opening this Summer at Universal Studios Hollywood ‘Jurassic World the Ride’. This will be the first time that the cast will appear as their characters outside of the movies in a theme park attraction.
The characters will shed light on their interactions with the dinosaurs along with different facts and information about the creatures who roamed the earth more than 65 million years ago. The iconic characters are speculated to be shown in the various screen scenes throughout the attraction and in the queue line.
The massive 60 foot and 30,000 pound mosasaurus will terrify guests upon their adventure through stunning visual effects. This impressive creature will be found in her massive aquarium observatory on the ride in one of it’s first show scene. In partnership with Industrial Light and Magic, the Universal Creative Team has used technology such as motion parallax which is a technique that shift’s the guests perspective of the creature as she moves throughout the tank.
The team has also done something that Universal has never implemented before, they have employed a series of lighting enhancements allowing the aquarium to shift from day to night. Visual changes will also happen when there is inclement weather which will create many scenarios for guests to experience depending on when they experience the attraction.
When the mega attraction opens this Summer there will be a brand new raptor encounter experience where guests can brave meeting the film’s beloved raptor ‘Blue’. For the little ones, they will be able to have fun on the newly built Dino Play Area which is located adjacent from the attraction’s queue line.
The new ride will have an original storyline and features tons of surprises along the way all leading up to the huge battle between the T-Rex and one of the attractions newest creatures before plumetting down a 84 – foot drop. Universal has already given fans a glimpse of what is to come in their recent TV Spot behind the ad campaign ‘It Just got Real’.
