This morning it was quite the scene at SeaWorld San Diego as the placed the highest piece of track on top of the lift hill for their highly anticipated 2020 Dive Coaster ‘Emperor’. The tradition was commemorated with an American Flag attached to the track that was raised 153 feet in the air by a massive crane. When Emperor opens in Summer 2020 the coaster will send guests 153 feet in the air right before they plumet down an 143 foot vertical drop into the thrilling B&M Dive Coaster. This attraction will be the tallest, fastest, and longest dive coaster in California when it opens in SeaWorld San Diego.
SeaWorld has confirmed that the construction progress is on time for the current coaster. There is no set opening date yet but hearing that construction is well on time is great news for the ride. The brand new roller coaster will join SeaWorld San Diego’s lineup of coasters with Tidal Twister, Manta, and Electric Eel. Upon our visit to the construction site we also witnessed more track pieces being dropped off at the site on a semi truck.
